How to maintain and upkeep steel structure platforms? 1. Regularly check the stability of the structure: Every 3-6 months, check whether the connection points (bolts, welds) of the columns and beams are loose or corroded. If any looseness is found, tighten them in a timely manner. If the welds crack, they need to be repaired; Check the platform board for deformation and wear of the anti slip layer, and promptly repair any damaged areas. 2. Carry out anti-corrosion and rust prevention treatment: check the corrosion of steel every 1-2 years in humid/acidic/alkaline environments, and apply anti-corrosion paint to the corroded parts after rust removal (galvanized steel can extend the maintenance cycle); Avoid contact with accumulated water on the platform and promptly clean up any corrosive liquids leaked from the upper cargo. 3. Control the load to avoid overload: Mark the load-bearing limit in a prominent place on the platform, and strictly prohibit stacking overweight goods or concentrated stacking; Regularly check the actual storage weight to prevent structural deformation caused by long-term overload. 4. Daily cleaning and protection: Clean the platform surface of debris and dust every week to avoid accumulation that affects structural heat dissipation or causes corrosion; Check if the drainage is smooth during rainy and snowy weather to prevent rainwater from accumulating and eroding the bottom of the platform. 5. Maintenance of auxiliary facilities: Regularly check whether the stair handrails and guardrails are firm, whether the transmission components of the freight elevator/slide are flexible, timely add lubricating oil or replace worn parts to ensure the safety and usability of auxiliary facilities.
